How does PTC ensure fares are kept affordable?

PTC tracks the Public Transport Affordability Indicator (PTAI), which measures public transport expenditure as a percentage of household incomes to assess fare affordability for lower-income households (represented by second decile income group households) and the average public transport user (represented by second quintile income group households). PTC also listens to feedback from the community through public engagement and surveys, to identify potential concerns about fare affordability, such as from specific commuter segments.
